<sub>It is rather surreal to read about it as well. I am too in my dressing gown, but ready to go to bed, way too late. To know that another day has started (and with the Pope passing by fair ladies in their dressing gowns) that truly is surreal, and mind-boggling in a way only enhanced by the enjoyment brought on by a lack of sleep.

The pope was in New York City (where I live) but I didn't even attempt to catch a glimpse. If it was Pope John Paul II I would've probably tried (I'm Polish) but millions of non-New Yorkers flocked since it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. My friend worked at the resort where he stayed and she literally had to have a written note from her boss to show the police that she's allowed to pass. Also, it took her about 2 hours to walk a few blocks because of the crowds. soooo I stayed home and didn't try.

i know how you feel. a few weeks ago, Bill Clinton came to the town where i work. i was really surprised to hear that because it's a pretty small town. i didn't get to see him though because i had to work. but still.....
