Regarding re-use of my work - do not want!

I thought I'd just mention this since I've suddenly gotten a few requests and it's never happened to me before...




If you're visiting my page to ask if you can use my images on your blog from onet. pl, the answer is...

No.

I do not allow my work to be used at blog .onet . pl sites.


I am not comfortable with my work being re-posted. Most of the pictures here are commissioned works of people's real horses, or my own personal characters, and I do not want either of these being used used in website layouts or to represent your characters.

Thank you for understanding and not engaging in copyright infringement.




I will catch up with dA stuff shortly.. always the same story, I know... I just have a lot going on at the moment. I'm tired.

You know, I've had a lot of people asking me that question too, lately. I'm thinking of putting something bold in my header, so people would be more likely to see it. Since apparently no one bothers to read my policy before they ask. :/

I've seen ur stuff around every now and then... I didn't think you'd be too happy about it, but I think it was at our high school for a project that was later deleted anyway... but still. I recognized it as yours. I'll keep an eye out for more of that and tell you about it if you like. :)

I hate that onet...whatever it is site. ~LadyFromEast was doing a big campaign against that, and many blogs were shut down. She hasn't been to active about it in the last month or so, but she'll probably start up again soon :)

Hmmm... it's tricky... basically I don't want things that will lead to wide-spread re-posting and stealing. Using it for a high school project would generally be ok. I'd prefer if people asked me first... I don't bite. :)

trouble is I used to just say 'yes go ahead' but then list which ones could not be used (commishes, gifts etc). But now I don't have time to write out lists of what can and can't be used, and a simple 'tell me which artworks you want to use' always fails to be understood and gets me nowhere. I'm really REALLY sick of being asked now.

Lol there's about 5 journals all on this subject in my inbox today... think they'll get the message?? I would bet not. I don't think they read anything on DA, the just sign up to bug people. I know for sure they don't read the artist's descriptions. You know, the ones that say THIS IMAGE IS NOT FOR USE ANYWHERE. doh. :XD:

I don't think there has been - I've been lucky never to have had the sort of popularity that attracts people who would repost it without asking. If I have, I've been blissfully unaware. :)

I've changed my mind I think.. they're just kids and they're not making a profit, so I've now got a policy with links to what they can use, and rules.
I wonder if I can get someone to translate the rules into Polish. :wonder:
