This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Thank you so much for the watch. I will be very sorry to see you off of deviant art(but I understand and would never think less of you for it) - I think your art posted here has been my greatest inspiration and I will be keeping an eye out for any and all sites you may have up. Thanks for sharing your genius and talent here - you have made a very large impact on me.
I love your digital and traditional drawings! I was wondering if there are any tutorials you could give me the links to that teach digital coloring. I've been trying to learn it recently, especially with horses. I was just wondering if there were any you used when you got started digitally painting. I tried looking some up on Google and the DA, but couldn't seem to find any really helpful ones. Thanks.
I didn't use any tutorials when I started - there were none for the type of digital painting I did then. I've never been able to do shade in black and white and then add colour like a lot of people do. The way I work for painting horses is to start by filling in the shape of the whole horse with a midtone, then filling in the darkest areas first, and working towards the highlights gradually. I start with big brushes and use smaller brushes as I get closer to finishing. In choosing colours, the colours that will mix together to make a realistic coat are always unexpected - greys aren't just grey for instance - I'm usually actually using lots of cream and various shades of greyish browns, to blue-grey for the coat. Go ahead and pick colours out of photos and make up a palette of colours to pick from, to get used to the shades you'll be using, especially if you're not used to mixing realistic coat colours in digital painting yet. I hope that helps!
